The eastern sierras are one of the best places to see Aspens in the fall.  These photos were taken in October.  Aspens can have a variety of colors prior to dropping their leaves.  Each canyon displays a different array of colors.

    Sunsets along the eastern ridge of the sierras are enhanced when afternoon thunderstorms linger into the evening.  There are often some amazing sunsets in late summer and fall when thunderstorms are most common.

    There are hundreds of lakes along the eastern sierras.  You can find atleast one lake in every canyon.  Some of the most scenic lakes can be found in the June Lake loops south of Mono Lake.

    There is an abundance of landscapes found along the eastern sierra ridgeline.  One can spend many days photographing the mountain ranges along.
