
The Pacific
Gophersnake mimics the Rattlesnake is many regards. The
triangular head and colors make it hard to distinguish. The only
difference is the lack of the rattle on the end of the snack.
They are common in very rocky areas. These photographs were taken
in Sunol Regional Park.

The San
Francisco Alligator Lizard can typically be found in rocky areas or
anywhere that provides shelter. They move rather quickly unless
in cold weather. These photographs were taken on the UC Santa
Cruz campus.
